Health Ministry
A Division of Full Gospel Home Missions

History

The International Health Ministry began from the International Hospice
Ministry birthing in  2002 with Bishop Paul S. Morton assigning Bishop Simon
Gordon and Elder Christopher Sylvain to lead this area and approved by
the Bishop's Council in Baltimore, Maryland. We partnered with Vistas
Hospice to begin that endeavor. Since then we have created a ministry
model where Vitas Hospice and other hospice agencies has worked to
educate various churches about the value of Hospice awareness within the
church. The program is called Members Helping Members which encourages
members to become Hospice volunteers to assist their members in need.

In 2005 Bishop Arthur House of Full Gospel Missions designated a health fair
at the 2005 Conference in New Orleans through the Greater St. Stephen
Health Ministry. With Homes Missions chartered to include Health Ministries,
Hospice Ministries and HIV/AIDS Ministries; upon meeting with Bishop Simon
Gordon - Elder Christopher Sylvain became Director of the Full Gospel
Health Ministry, joining the Home Missions Board with Bishop Simon Gordon
under Bishop Arthur House in 2006.

Beginning with the 2007, 14th Annual Conference Health Fair, the
recruitment begins for all health ministry professionals to come together to
Change A Generation's health.

Beloved, I wish above all things that thouest mayest prosper
and be in health, even as thy soul prospers
